Announcing Collaboration with University Hospital Halle (Saale)
Showcasing with Nursing Expert, Prof. Patrick Jahn (University Medicine Halle), at DMEA Berlin 2025, April 8-10
Jerusalem, Israel – Neteera, a leading company in the field of contactless patient monitoring, received CE certification in early March 2025 for its innovative Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) System 130H-Plus under Class IIa of the European Medical Device Regulation (MDR). The U.S. FDA had already cleared the system in 2024. This certification confirms the safety and performance of Neteera’s solution and paves the way for a broad market launch in Germany and further European countries. Unlike conventional monitoring solutions, Neteera utilizes innovative radar technology and data analysis to measure microscopic skin movements, regardless of whether a patient is clothed or covered.
Neteera’s patented technology enables continuous, contactless monitoring of vital parameters, including heart rate, respiratory rate, breathing depth, and the ratio of inhalation to exhalation. The smart RPM system establishes baseline values for these vital parameters and triggers an alert when predefined thresholds are exceeded. Additionally, the system monitors patient movements in real-time, detecting even the smallest changes in activity levels and providing early indicators of recovery trends or potential health deterioration. It also tracks how often and for how long patients leave their beds.
Digital Care Assistance: Safe and Efficient
Neteera’s solution includes a small device called 130H-Plus, which is mounted above hospital or nursing home beds. Unlike conventional methods, 130H-Plus does not use cameras, ensuring patient privacy. There are also no intrusive cables or skin sensors. Instead, it relies on safe, maintenance-free, and non-intrusive radar technology combined with data analysis to detect microscopic skin movements, from which valuable clinical data is derived.
“The CE certification is a major milestone for Neteera,” says Isaac Litman, Founder and CEO of Neteera. “Our technology provides a completely new way of monitoring care-dependent individuals and patients—contactless, precise, and efficient. The CE certification under the MDR as a Class IIa device confirms the high quality and safety of our system.” Neteera’s goal is now to introduce this innovative solution across the German and European markets and collaborate with care facilities and hospitals to improve patient care.
Contactless Monitoring and Seamless Integration into Electronic Patient Records (EPRs)
Neteera’s RPM system offers care facilities, hospitals, and telemedicine providers significant advantages in contactless patient monitoring. The system integrates seamlessly into existing electronic patient records (EPRs) and features an easy-to-use interface displaying health parameters on a dashboard. The Neteera system is already in use across more than 30,000 beds in the U.S., aiming not only to improve the quality of care but also to optimize workflows. Healthcare professionals can better focus their time on patients who truly require care interventions.
Further Evaluation: Collaboration with University Hospital Halle (Saale) Planned
“By using technologies that enable continuous and contactless patient monitoring, nurses can respond more efficiently to changes in patients’ health conditions, enabling personalized, preventive care,” explains Prof. Dr. Patrick Jahn, Professor of Healthcare Research with a focus on nursing at University Hospital Halle (Saale). Prof. Jahn and his team are currently planning a feasibility and usability study on the 130H-Plus system from Neteera, which will generate data from Germany. Additionally, Neteera is expected to be integrated into the “Innovation Region for the Digital Transformation of Nursing and Health (TPG)” project at University Medicine Halle (Saale), with the goal of further evaluating the practical application of this innovative monitoring technology and contributing to its implementation in Germany’s digital healthcare system. In 2024, Neteera was already selected as one of eight startups to participate in the medical:forge accelerator program in Leipzig. This program is funded by structural transformation grants from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK). Neteera receives support particularly in the areas of regulatory affairs, establishing collaborations with clinics, and business development.
Neteera to Showcase Contactless RPM System at DMEA 2025
Neteera will exhibit at DMEA 2025 in Berlin from April 8 to 10, 2025, presenting its groundbreaking contactless patient monitoring technology to industry professionals. The company will be located in Hall 2.2 stand C-115 ( Halle 2.2 Standnummer C-115 )
and will also participate in a Solutions Hub Pitch Session on ‘Digitalization in Nursing’ on April 10th. “With CE certification in hand, we are particularly excited about our presence at this year’s DMEA conference in Berlin,” says Isaac Litman. “For us, this is an excellent opportunity to introduce our solution to the German market and engage in discussions with key decision-makers about innovative healthcare and nursing solutions.”
